SmartDraw Adds Ability to Create Custom Symbol Libraries

You can now easily save customized shapes or groups of shapes to your own custom symbol library for future use on both the Windows and online editions of SmartDraw. This powerful new feature lets you work more efficiently by letting you easily reuse items without having to create them from scratch for each project.

How to Create a Custom Symbol Library

First, create a new library:

  1. Click on the Symbols tab to the left of your drawing area.
  2. Select More and click on "Add New Custom Library".
  3. Give your new library a name.

Next, drag and drop any shape to your new library. It will be saved there for future use. You can even drag entire subprocesses or branches of a mind map if you think you'll want to use it in the future.
